Simply put, Energy Star products consume less energy, saving you money and saving the environment.
The energy use of the latest flat panel TVs, along with other products like Blu-ray Disc and DVD players, set-top boxes, and more represents around 10% of a home's annual electric bill - As much as $190. Energy Star products will help bring that cost down, while helping the environment as well.
Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) with a focus on helping all of us save money AND protect the environment through energy efficiencey.
Look for the Energy Star label when you look for a new home entertainment product.
